Angels Landing Gift Tile Coaster Gift Set

Whew! I forgot how tiring and cumbersome posting can be...I've got one more for yah!

I created a matching card for the tile coaster set I made way back when. Remember this? I created a gift set made up of 4 tile coasters using digital stamps. If you read through the post, you will find several links on just how to use digital stamps on tile coasters like the one I used. Good news is that the family finally moved in to their new house.

To make the card, I combined several sets from Angels Landing: flowers and leaves from Simply Flowers, cute bird from Aussie Animals and the background from Pierced Backgrounds. I love the look of scalloped edges so I used the biggest scalloped square Nestie to cut out the card. I topped it off with a sheer ribbon at the top and sponged Tim Holtz distressing inks around the edges (yes, I am still into vintage!). I printed 2 of the flowers and popped them up. I also added some glitter in the middle of the flowers to make them stand out a bit. I also popped up the little kookaburra bird (Judy - if you are reading this, please correct me if I wrong - teehee). I used prismacolored pencils blended with baby oil to color in the images. For the sentiment, I used the PTI set called Garden of Life.

Without further ado...tada!

My husband keeps telling me to wrap it up so he can give it to the family so I guess I better get a move on. Better late than never, right???

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a good one!

I'm Baaaacccckkkk! Another Thank You Gift Set...

I've been neglecting my blog again! Sheesh! This work thing is really bogging down my creativity. However, I do love my job. But I thought I would share since I finally formatted some photos in last day or so.

This is a gift set I made for a wonderful co-worker when I started back in October. Yes, it's been awhile, like I said. She has been a great support to me in helping me succeed with my job. We always have such fun when we train together or even just on the phone - LOVE YAH KAE. So, what better way to say thank you than to present her with an altered gift set - can you tell I LOVE making these? LOL. This is just like the one I created for my supervisor (you can see it here). I just love using wordart from Bethany. She has so much talent when she creates these wordart sets. I used the sentiment from the set called Old Testament WordArt pack. In case you have trouble reading the sentiment, it says:

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding; In all thy ways, acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
Proverbs 3:5-6

Isn't this a great scripture? I thought it was such a fitting sentiment because that is exactly how I feel about my co-worker. She is a great mentor.

No real need to explain what I have done here...you can see for yourself!

On a sad note, I just recently read that Bethany will be closing down her wordart store at ScrapOrchard and she is discounting her sets to 50% off! Click here to read her post and to get those wonderful sets while they are on sale. Luckily, she isn't completely shutting down her business, just moving location, but she said it might be awhile before it gets transferred over to the new store site.

I have one more post so don't go just yet!!!

So sorry been MIA...

Hello Everyone! So sorry been MIA (Missing in Action) since before the hustle and bustle of the holidays. I just started a part-time job back in October so it was quite an adjustment after being a SAHM for several years. I was lucky enough to find something close to home (literally only 4 blocks away). So hubby, kids and I don't have that long commute especially in the brutal weather like we have been having the past couple of days. Ick! That's what you get when you live in northern MN!!!!

Anywho, it 's been hard to get back into papercrafting. I've been fishing for inspiration online, but when it comes down to finding time, I've been a deadbeat stamper! I am taking a long break from being on any design teams for now (maybe until the summer when hubby is off for the summer. So until then you will only see papercrafting items on an ocassional basis on my blog.

I managed to put together a simple card this weekend so hoping to get that posted up soon. That is when I can find the time to take a pic of it.

Until then, thanks for still managing to follow my blog!!! Stay warm!
